EDIT: 9/8/24 I had to come back here to update, cuz I was contacted by Hana from Customer Service (CSR), and she handled my concerns like a boss, totally professional, and in the end, I was sent a total replacement kit due to the unavailability of a replacement controller that apparently was faulty and that caused the wheel to lock up… Thank you Hana for going the extra mile for me to resolve this, and I appreciate your help in this matter… I am looking forward to getting back on the road again… Anthony
I really liked this unit when I first got it, and installed it… I managed to get about 120 miles of use with it before it suddenly stopped working and left me stranded a few miles from home cuz it felt as tho’ something internally gave out and was dragging and causing the wheel to no longer roll freely, somewhat like a bearing going bad on you… The throttle indicator lights remained on (red, yellow, green), but when the throttle was engaged, there was no response… After managing to walk home with it, I flipped the bike over, and tried to turn the front hub by hand, and it was hard to spin, as tho’ it was dragging on something… So I started to disconnect the wiring harness, and when I disconnected the 3-wires to the block (blue, green, yellow) the wheel spins freely… My guess is that the controller is bad, or the wheel motor, or both… I’m going to have to replace the unit, and this time I will try someone else…

Very powerful motor, comes as a complete tire and wheel assembly, wire harness leave a lot to be desired and battery pack connectors do NOT match what is provided. Make sure you have a soldering gun and estra 12 AWG wire handy. NOTE use duel torque arms, such as Zacro Universal Ebike Torque Arm Conversion Kits, Electric Bike Front or Rear Hub Motors. This 1000 watt motor has a LOT of torque and will torque out of even steel front forks. This $10 kit from Amazon is well worth the price. Avoid the single arm kits. NO Warranty or Customer Support Motor controller failed after 3 weeks of use!!!!!!

I came here to write this review because I bought this wheel based on other reviewers feedback for their schwinn meridian tricycles. Now that it is an e-bike I had the greatest pleasure ride yet.
Hills are effortless. Bought a big battery and torque like others recommended and couldn’t be happier! I plan to ride it to the park, grocery store and around my neighborhood.
I took it to be professionally installed and had it back in a couple of days. With out a doubt the best decision regarding this bike! Love it!!!
