It works. Not a programmable controller. After connecting halls, phase, power, ground, door lock, and throttle, raise the drive tire, connect the learn wire, let it run for a couple of minutes, and disconnect the learn wire. That worked for me. Not sure about top speed yet, but the added torque is noticeable. One more thing. At first I only wired the functions necessary to run the motor. Then the lights and brakes. When I want to connect another function (cruise, L-M-H speed, ect) I’ll study it in depth, separate the appropriate wires from the bundle and hook it up. Then it usually takes one or two more sessions to route and secure the wires and any additional hardware.
I don’t like the connectors that most companies use on their wiring. It makes it almost impossible to have a clean harness. I eliminated them where I could. I soldered the wires together on the throttle to make a cleaner connection. Any loops got the connector cut out and the wires soldered together except the programming plug. I left that in place. For features I’m not using right now I cut the connectors off, labled the wires and connectors with colored heat shrink, put the connectors in a bag, and put the bag inside my frame. The unused wires are wrapped together with electrical tape so I can access them easily if I want to hook up reverse or cruise control, etc.
After 2 months of commuting use in a 48v system this controller stopped working. As a rule, I don’t work on controllers so I don’t know why it quit working. I wouldn’t recommend this product as it let me down in such a short time.

i hooked it up to a 48v battery and a 350 watt razor econosmart motor, as well as a segway g30 max motor and get well over 22 mph at 48 volts consistent. lots of torque. for what you get, the price is right but you may do better with something cheaper, solid housing and construction. a learning curve to figure out and hook everything up but I bought 2 and they work great. not for the feint of heart, im a hobbyist working mostly with scooters and the like and ive used all kinds of controllers and this is more expensive because of quality.

This is my 5 th controller for my 1500watt ebike hub motor and it is by far the best. The wires were labeled ndividually so installation was made easier. My biggest complaint w with low cost Chinese controllers has been no user manuals or wire diagrams. Different wire colors are used for the various hub motors and controllers do you may need to cut off connectors and make good solid connectkons, solder or good crimping. So after only 15 minutes or so I hade everything running 100% and was very eased with the smooth performance and overall power. I’m not sure how long it will last however so far so good. Note: Chinese translations to English can be confusing. There is one wire that must be connected to your batteries positive output, this turns the controller on. I wish they could just say that however it is listed as a power lock or sokmething stupid. This wire will commonly pass gh rough a switch so you cAn have easy cut off by way on an internal relay and not have to disconnect you main battery. BMarkMannM2
