The Roinside UP6’s build quality is immediately noticeable: Clean lines and fairly light weight at 30 lbs. What helped make this foldable, electric scooter stand out are the clean lines and NFC-controlled motor activation. That means: no physical key needed to enable/disable the scooter.

The 8.5″ tires makes it a little less comfortable than those with 10″ tires.

Overall, the decent (but not powerful) 350W motor with my tested, top speed of about 17.6mph, stability, and clean lines make the Roinside UP6 a joy to ride. As exciting the Roinside and any other electrical scooter are, make sure they are legal to ride in your area. Most, if not all, jurisdictions prohibit operating an eScooter on the sidewalk.

    PROS
    – Quality build
    — Clean assembly lines and cable management
    – Urban-friendly features
    — Medicore, smooth acceleration
    — Top speed: 17.6 mph
    — Maximum rider weight: 250 lbs based on past experience with similar eScooters
    – 323 Wh Battery
    — Range: 15-20 miles, though 17 mi is more realistic under “real world” use
    — Use of brakes, rider’s weight, and going uphill will reduce range
    — Runtime: 1-4 hours
    — Took 3-5 hours to fully charge via AC power supply
    – Stable ride
    – Comfortable
    – Portable
    — eScooter can have its handle folded down towards the deck, lock, and then be carried by the bar
    – Built-in kickstand
    – Arrived nearly fully assembled and VERY well-packaged

    CONS
    – 8.5″ tires makes it slightly less comfortable than 10″ ones
    – Neck bar height is not adjustable and may be too short for tall riders
    – Top speed: 17.6 mph. U.S. law generally limits speed to 15.5 mph, making the Roinside potentially illegal to ride. Check with your local regulations
    – Only available in black
    – Only basic instructions included on how to operate the scooter

    TIPS

    OPERATION
    – For your safety, lean forward when accelerating, lean back when braking
    – Do not brake hard. Doing so could make you painfully tumble, scooter skid, and/or wear out the tires
    — Be aware of unexpected obstacles. I tumbled once at roughly 5 mph when transitioning from grass to concrete. It was not fun
    – Gently push on accelerator lever to start moving. Apply more pressure for faster acceleration
    – I found the most stability (especially when turning) by putting one foot pointing forward and the other at 45 degrees to the side
    – As battery neared empty, I noticed that maximum speed gradually lowered
    – Scooter is designed for only 1 rider. California law prohibits having a passenger

    AIRCRAFT TRANSPORTATION
Most, if not all, airlines prohibit electronic scooters that do not meet specific criteria. United Airlines, for example, allows collapsible ones whose battery is both removable and below 300 Wh. This scooter’s is 323 Wh. Lithium-ion batteries are known to be volatile, and the higher their capacity, the more risky they are. Check with the airlines for more details.

    MOTORIZED SCOOTER LAWS
Check with federal, state, and local regulations governing the use of electric scooters.

    CONCLUSION
The Roinside UP6 is an urban transport scooter with decent battery life for day-to-day use.

I’ve been using the Roinside Electric Scooter for a couple of weeks now, and I’m seriously impressed! This scooter is perfect for commuting and has quickly become my go-to transportation for quick trips around the city.

The 350W motor gives it plenty of power, and it easily reaches speeds up to 19 mph, which is perfect for my daily commute. The 21-mile range is incredible—I don’t have to worry about charging it constantly, and the long-range makes it reliable for longer trips.

I love how portable and foldable it is! It’s so easy to fold down and carry when I’m not riding, and it fits nicely in my trunk or next to my desk at work. The 8.5-inch solid tires handle bumps and uneven surfaces well, providing a smooth and comfortable ride every time. Plus, I never have to worry about getting a flat tire!

The double braking system (front electronic and rear disc brake) works flawlessly, giving me confidence in stopping quickly and safely. The added app feature is a nice touch—being able to check my stats and control some features via the app is super convenient.

Overall, this scooter has exceeded my expectations in every way. It’s sturdy, easy to use, and reliable. Whether you’re commuting, running errands, or just enjoying a ride, I highly recommend the Roinside Electric Scooter for anyone looking for a practical and fun transportation solution! Only issue is at high speeds scooter shakes

This scooter runs pretty well for what you get. It is not the fastest scooter but it will get you there pretty quick. I am pretty happy with the size of the scooter but the handle is not something that can be adjusted so this may not work for everyone. The scooter is well packaged but one thing I am not a fan of is the wires. Be very careful when removing the scooter from the box and assembling it around the wires. The wires are thick but if you pull on the wrong piece when taking this out I feel you could break the cable off. I would say pull by the actual when taking this out and NOT by the handle bars. The wheels are not bad. They work well on the side walk and streets for the most part. I am not entirely sure what to replace the wheels with in the future when they wear down but I will cross that bridge when I get to it. The wheels have not worn down and the rims of the wheel as solid. It has not broke or anything from the bumps and such. I am not entirely sure if this has shock absorbers but it does an okay job absorbing some of the vibration from the ride. You still feel it when you are riding on the scooter unfortunately on the handle bars. The bottom is made of solid plastic to protect the battery. It is something that can take some abuse. It gets scratched up pretty easily. I would always avoid places where your scooter can get caught on the bottom. The lights are okay. They are not really the best light in my opinion. It is directional but you cannot adjust it in terms of position. It is a part of the controls on the top such as powering the scooter on and off and such. The controls are not too difficult to learn. You have the brakes, acceleration, and light control. You are not really able to attach those phone holders there is just not enough space on the handle bar to do that unfortunately. You can collapse the scooter for easy storage or to carrry around if you need to but this is NOT a light scooter so it is not something I can carry around long term. Back to the handle bars. They are solid and easy to grip. The grips have not worn down or anything but careful when leaving this in the sun because that can probably damage the material overtime. I would only really suggest one person riding this at a time. It only has space for one. The actual padding allows for a good grip on the scooter so you are not sliding when you brakes and such. The brakes on this is not bad but you still can use the back brakes like any scooter but it does wear down the back tire so try not to use it too often. There is not much assembly involved other than installing the handle bar. Again be careful with the wire when putting them down into the main shaft. The application is not too hard to learn. Honestly I prefer just to use the scooter but it is nice to have some information on the application especially if you latch this and leave it. The application is not perfect though. The speed on this is not bad. It is fast but not as fast as other scooters. Overall the scooter works really well for the most part. I am pretty happy with how it runs and it is a good low end scooter to have if you want to have a motor scooter. The battery life give you a good amount of miles and the recharge takes a few hours. The charger does get warm so do not put this under anything that can retain heat. The wheels I am unsure what to replace them with in the future. It is safe to ride but I am just not a fan of the wires. I feel like they are easy to get caught on something but they are thick so they are most likely really durable.
