I don’t have other scooter experience to compare but I’m loving this scooter so far. Really fun. Seems sturdy and well-made. I bought scooter to ride around the large cul-de-sac I live on at night so my Kelpie pup can run behind. No traffic so it’s safe and she gets the workout without me having to run. We do lots of other stuff but some dogs need to run. I live in hilly area so “good on hills” was important. Scooter definitely slows down on hills but gets me up them and then speeds up quickly. Love the cruise control. I thought the bell didn’t work so contacted the company but didn’t hear back. Problem was I wasn’t holding ringer down far enough so it works but don’t think customer service ever responded. I could have missed it but that is a slight concern. However, you can’t beat the sale price. Reviews I read were positive but were hesitant because there wasn’t a lot of feedback about Volpam scooters. I rarely write reviews but thought this company needs reviews and as a happy customer thought I would contribute. Warning: user manual is in tiny print. Tried to find online download but couldn’t. It’s not a complicated product so not extremely important but why? Some of us are older people…

The scooter itself is great and works well, it arrived when expected and the family loves it. BUT it did come with one of the side reflectors broken off on the back which is a bummer especially with how much it costs. It doesn’t hinder the function of the scooter fortunately but more care should be taken in the packaging it seems because now that safety feature isn’t there and it is also cosmetically flawed. I’d still recommend purchasing for teens or adults to use recreationally because it gets good speed, is easy to handle, and is a good size and weight. I have a 16, 14, and an almost 12 year old who loves it but I don’t think I’d let someone younger or less coordinated ride because it definitely gets up to 19 mph.

The scooter itself works great and we’ve had a great time with it. Unfortunately, the charger doesn’t work anymore. I have contacted the company twice and have not heard back from them about replacing the charger. I’m happy to pay for it. I realize that I’m past the warranty time for it. I’ve ordered generic ones that don’t seem to work. Would love to get this resolved I just want to buy a charger that will allow us to still use the scooter feel like it’s a very big waste of money (For $300 it should’ve lasted more than one year -And by the way, we live in Ohio so technically he probably has used it for nine months ) and to add something to a landfill for no reason is upsetting.

I’ll start by saying my son really wanted an electric scooter for his 13th birthday and after several hours of research on Amazon, this one seemed to fit the bill.
Pro’s- competitive price, while the materials seem like they can be a bit better it’s still holding up to the test of time as my son uses it everyday to go to and from school ( about 2 miles round trip). Excellent battery life for the travel distance of about 15 miles on eco mode on a smooth flat surface which is more then what we needed. Bright front light and bright rear red light. Works great with the app and you can adjust speed settings. Folds down for easy storage or transporting in the back seat or trunk of a small car. Light weight and easy to Cary for a young adult. This thing is really fast considering the no air no puncture tires are small it can get up to 19 mph so PLEASE make sure to wear a helmet and proper protective gear. I weight about 225lbs and this thing has absolutely no problem reaching and maintaining top speed of 19mph for as long as the battery holds out ( roughly 8 to 10 miles on a smooth flat surface).
Cons- as mentioned above this things picks up speed fast if you are in sport mode and can be dangerous for small children. Parents please use extreme caution if you get something like this for your child and always use proper DOT designated helmets as well and knee and elbow guards. The disk break could be better as it tends to squeak from time to time but it works none the less. Charging can take a few hours if you really drain the battery and there is not a way to fast charge. Sometimes the app will disconnect from the scooter and you will have to close out and go back in, no big deal however, it will reset your speed from eco to sport which can be an issue for your child.
