Good value, solid, well made. This bike is very comfortable. I got it with the air shock option. Added some more comfortable touches that you would need to do to any bike. I'm very glad I bought this bike. I added a 52 tooth crank so I get a little more pedal in first and second power assist mode, I will only be using this on pavement at the beach, campgrounds and minor dirt paths, I see many people using these it on more extreme off-roading that I don't think this would be the lightest bike to be doing that with. I like the weight it of this bike for the speed that it goes with the upgraded crank it'll hit 40. I also have the upgraded controller from freesky and a titanium rear derailleur guard. The brakes work great for all the weight I add with saddle bags loaded, it has 180 mm front already. I haven't felt the need to upgrade the breaks. I also own the freesky Rocky Pro which I have a blast on also.
Freesky Swift Horse Review. I have ridden my ebike a few weeks now and put on over 150 miles to get a feel being on a bike again. It has been 40 years since I last rode one! I ride a couple times a week in area parks and residential areas for enjoyment. I don't use it for commuting.I chose this ebike because it has been on sold on Amazon for over 2 years, plus they have an internet site, Freeskycycle.com, for customer service and parts. It has desirable equipment such as Shimano gears, Samsung batteries 48V 25ah, MXUS 1000W hub motor (max output 1800), hydraulic disc brakes, 4" wide wheels, strongly built suspension fork and rear shock. The frame is robust and holds 300 lbs. But, be aware this bike is heavy. At least 90 lbs when including the battery. I have a bike rack with a ramp, 2" hitch, and capable of holding a 100+ pound ebike. Be prepared to spend a few hundred dollars more for a proper bike rack and hitch, if you cannot put inside your vehicle. As for the ride, it pulls my over 200 lb body easily with throttle only. I am able to RIDE with PAS 2 and peddling for over 30 miles with little more than 15% battery drain at a more or less constant 12 -13 mph. If I vary the mix with PAS 3 - 5, while peddling, then I still get 30 miles with 35% battery drain. I probably averaged 13 - 14 mph for the distance, including stopping and starting. So, I do think the performance I get represents what they advertise. I have not modified the controller. I am able to go a sustained 32mph in PAS 5 on level pavement. The limitation for me is the gearing. Beyond this speed, I cannot really add any more peddle effort to push faster because it could use more gears. Someone that can peddle faster will attain a higher speed. The brakes work flawlessly and you can lock the tires up easily, if needed. The bike rides comfortably. The large tires provide a strong grip and smooth out the rough pavement or ruts on the trails. The front fork is adjustable to how much softness or firmness you want. The rear shock is good for my weight, but may be stiff for a lighter rider. It can be replaced with an adjustable shock, if you want. The seat was actually decent, but I have upgraded to a premium seat for long rides. The fenders are a bit flimsy, but they do keep wheel dust or water from splashing up on you.It took about an hour for me to put the bike together and inspect all the pre-assembled parts. An instruction booklet was sent with the bike. I read it before assembling. I recommend having a second set of hands to help assemble this heavy bike. Freesky customer service contacted me through the Amazon message system and provided instructions to follow prior to ripping into the shipping box. Be sure to read these messages. I also had questions about the charger use and messaged them. They responded to all of them within 12 hours. I also called a customer service number and was followed up with a mobile phone text. Since we are on opposite ends of the day, the response came to me in the evening and I then had a live chat around 8 pm. His day was starting at 7 am.This ebike meets my needs for a ruggedly built trail and street bike. I do not use it as a commuter bike, but one that is able to take a bit of a pounding on park trails. It has some name brand parts that I can have serviced or fixed. The batteries are UL rated, not some unfamiliar off-brand.
Power and long battery life. I bought 3 SwiftHorse for my 2 boys and I to enjoy backcountry trail riding without killing ourselves in the mountains. These beasts are powerful and agile! Did not make a dent in the battery life even while out riding hilly terrain for a good 4 hours. Did have a little challenge with some soft sandy areas so maybe Tires with a little more tread would be a potential upgrade depending on the conditions in your area. One Bike had to be backordered, but customer service called me promptly after making the order to see if I wanted to wait for the green model (about 10 days) or select a different color. The back ordered item came only 3 days later. Customer service has been prompt with responses to my questions and even checked back in with me to ensure everything was good.
Solid build/Great bike. I put a lot of research into buying my first e-bike and this company really stuck out for me. There are a lot of companies in the market but I will definitely vouch for freesky that they are legit! Customer service is extremely helpful and the bike is solidly built! I will certainly be giving them my business in the future as well!
Great Bike....high learning curve. Shipped very well protected! Easy unboxing and assembling. During assembly there were a few hitches that were easily solved. The manual was written poorly. It did not cover how to ride the bike, use any settings, nor work out issues. I wrote to them and they promised to fix all issues. You should download an owners manual before buying.
Most fun you will ever have. This is definitely one of the best purchases I have made. I am having so much fun on this thing. takes me places that I would not be physically able too pedal too and back on a regular bike and not to mention, the customer service was fantastic. I had a problem with an added feature i contacted them. They sent me a new one, right away . And all was well after that.
excellent throttle response and solid breaking. This Ebike is the best.we updated from our hey bike and glad we did. has more power ,larger Ah battery and befang motor really perform great. We take our dog in the pull behind and you don't notice. Battery life is twice that of our old ones. Really love the soft tail, upgraded to air shock, added rear view camera and phone holder with bar extender. Had a issue with front wheel and tech support was top notch and had a part on way next day and they answer there phone very pleased with there help I did a lot of research, after owning my first Ebike and knew what to look for this bike did not let me down The best value for your money and well built, Its a fun way for my wife and I to get outside and exercise
great buy, super fun. so much fun! only been riding them for about a month so far, but they are easy to ride and give you the ability to go anywhere. we wanted something to get around the city / neighborhood and not stress about parking, but also take them camping and be comfortable on long bike rides with hilly trails. this model fit our lifestyle perfectly
Everything about this bike is fantastic! It's fast and it's well made also it's a blast to ride. The customer support and service is second to none! I highly recommend this bike and brand. Very happy!
Update received email and was told how to fix my problem and I'm 100% pleased with my new bike Just received my bike so far I'm impressed except for you don't get the 35 mph with pedal assist ive only seen it hit 20mph just press and hold the right signal button to unlock the speed limiter
Les vendeurs ont une bonne éthique de travail et font pour satisfaire le client ça fait pas longtemps que j’ai ma bicyclette mais jusqu’à ce jour je suis satisfait
I purchased my 1800w 48v 25hr. Swift horse pro on Oct 8 2024. I must say I absolutely love the E-bike and the power assist makes ride effortless as well you can still get a leg work-out. I can’t say enough about the full throttle, so nice to have when having to stop at traffic lights and when light changes press that throttle and your right up to speed. I bought the wife the 1200w 20hr City Series step-thru and she is just getting use to it, but so far she is impressed!
Wow j'adore mon nouveau vélo je suis tres satisfait de mon achat . Il es tres rapide. Il es construit très robuste je le recommande a tout le monde. L'autonomie de la batterie es incroyable .

VERY fast -- potentially illegally fast. Smooth, thrilling ride. The media could not be loaded. If you have never ridden an eBike before, or even if you have, when the motor is 750W, you are going to FEEL it. The acceleration becomes so fast, but smooth, you may feel dirty about how fast it got to 15mph+.I have tested over a handful of electric bikes -- from foldable small-wheel ones that I refer to as "Clown bikes" to cruisers, mountains, and thin and fat tires. Each has its pros and cons. All have one thing in common, however: I look for the below features in an electric bicycle.- Decent motor to aid with steep inclines- 7 or 21 speeds/gears for tackling difficult, uphill climbs- Pedal Assist System (PAS)- Easy to get on/off for a woman in her 60s- Comfortable ride with shock suspension- Fat tires for more balance and control- Detachable, large battery for long rides and convenient chargingThe MultiJoy Spaniel EB260 Foldable Electric Bike checked every box I was looking for, EXCEPT: its max speed was listed as 26mph. This could be an issue because federal and State law (at least where I live) prohibit eBikes going over 20mph unless they are classified for higher speeds.WHY AN EBIKE?Electric bicycles have allowed our family to go longer distances with far lower risk of cramping that would have made for a PAINFUL ride home. The motorized assistance on the uphill climbs and during the final return miles with tired legs had been a welcome blessing!ANALYSISMultiJoy's 26" Electric Bike (Spaniel EB260) immediately hit me with its quality build. The shipping box arrived partially damaged, but the content was perfectly fine -- most likely because of the large use of protective styrofoam. The bike's 75+ lbs made it the heaviest electric bicycle I had ever tested, but there was a reason for that: largest battery and stronger motor.Assembly was straight-forward: all I had to do was attach the pedals, fenders, front wheel/disc brake, and done. Nothing else needed to be set up, although I had to tweak the brakes a bit. "Holy moly!" I thought to myself, giving flashbacks on when I had to frustratingly try to figure out how to put together the individual, small pieces of a mechanical mountain bike a year ago for the first time. Thankfully, practically everything was already pre-assembled.Ride performance was VERY clean, smooth, and comfortable thanks to its fat tires and front suspension to smooth out bumps and rocky terrain. There was no rear suspension, and so keep that in mind if you want to take it hardcore trail riding down the mountain (not to mention needing to remove the rear rack and swapping the wide seat with a MTB-approved one to be safer.) The motor's 750W of (nominal) power was very strong. That meant a very sudden, rapid speed increase that could feel out of control at times. My mom is 5'1" tall, the manufacturer claims a design for persons of at least 5'2" height, but she comfortably mounted and dismounted without a single complaint. I test-rode it myself and wow, it definitely accelerated much faster than my Googo, and so I was confident it could handle hills better than mine -- and it did indeed! The MultiJoy had a very clean, streamlined look with cables tucked away nicely. Its 75+ lbs, however, would not be something many riders would be happy to carry around.Shifting between the 7 gears was effortless, and the fat tires gave a very satisfying sound while smoothly zipping around the neighborhood park and up a few climbs. Power Assist (PAS) was available in multiple, and speed topped at a FAST (and illegal) 28 mph without a rider (default was 20mph and I changed it to 28mph). Legally, electric bikes cannot go faster than 20 mph to fall under the United States Class 2 designation, and in California, only Class 2 can ride on Class 1 bike paths. What does that mean? This bicycle's motor was too fast to legally operate in California, but thankfully, the speed did drop to 25 mph with either my mom or myself riding on it. Either way, be sure to check with your local and State laws before you push the MultiJoy to its top speed.Electronic controls found on the left side of the handlebar were easy to use and managed the headlight, horn, PAS level, power, and color display. The screen was easily readable under direct sunlight and provided a nice set of information, including battery and Power Assist levels, speed (current, average, max) in mph or km/h, trip time and odometer, and more. Power is activated through the twist throttle on the right-hand side handlebar. The 960Wh-capacity, Li-Ion battery (20Ah @ 48V) is the largest I have tested yet. That gave the MultiJoy a VERY significant advantage over any of the bikes I had previously tested, including my Googo's 360Wh. Longer runtimes with a more powerful motor, although also with more weight: 27-51 miles on fully-electric and 66-89 miles with pedal assist (the manufacturer did claim more conservative numbers.) My past experience found that it should theoretically be able to handle at least 150 miles with PAS only used for short uphill climbs. I prefer pedaling most of the time for exercise/health purposes and only invoke the motor just enough to get up a hill. Let it sink it... 960Wh battery with 150-mile range when motor is only used to assist with uphill portions of street biking.Another important factor to be aware of: the battery cells are made by Tier 1 LG, a reputable electronics company and battery manufacturer. This means that the batteries should be some of the safest available. Interestingly, this MultiJoy Spaniel is one of the few bikes that actually uses the USB-C interface to charge instead of something proprietary. Kudos to you, MultiJoy!Two keys were included and required to operate the bike. So, do NOT lose them! The battery was locked to the top of the down tube and removing it was convenient and easy. This allowed the battery to be removed and charged at work by the desk.Front wheel skewer is the quick-release type for easy swapping, but keep in mind that this also makes it easier for someone to steal the tire. Be sure to bring the appropriate locks and chains. The rear rack most likely cannot carry more than 50 lbs -- a number most commonly cited by manufacturers. The Spaniel was a joy to spin, and the build quality and riding comfort were top-notch. For me, personally, the 750W motor provided for a very smooth acceleration, but keep in mind that it could scare a beginner rider for the first time when that initial power kicks in. I felt solidly in control and the suspension worked well in conjunction with the fat tires to even out the effects caused by rocky or shaky terrains. Also keep in mind that its top speed of 26mph is far higher than the federal or State limit of 20mph. Going at that fast of a speed could be extremely dangerous for the rider and those around. Solid bicycle, otherwise.BIKE OR SCOOTER?Electric scooters are more nimble to move around with -- and in some cases, more fun -- but local laws may prevent them from going onto the same paths as electric bicycles. Most can also be carried around more easily due to their more compact size and lighter weight. Personally, I prefer bikes because they are safer to operate, can (usually) go onto the same places that mechanical bicycles can operate, are (generally) allowed to carry an additional passenger, and if the battery runs out or fails, you can still pedal around. A scooter would stop to function without a battery.
Warranty customer Service. I purchased two multijoy E-bikes. One bike malfunctioned. I contacted Multijoy for resolution. I was impressed with how helpful and friendly the team was when I had issues with my bike. They listened to my issue, offered a quick solution, and followed up to make sure I was satisfied. I’ll definitely buy from them again and recommend them to others!S.simmons
Overpriced garbage with poor customer service. The media could not be loaded. Do not trust this company. I have had problems with my bike since I got it. The brakes don't work. I've almost gotten into an accident many times and the screen wants to cut on and then cut right off. I spends 20 minutes trying to get the darn thing to turn on and stay on. I've spent just as much if not more trying to get the thing fixed than I paid for the bike. I've contacted the company since the beginning. Trying to get this fixed and yet they will not honor their warranty. They just keep jerking me around. And they have been doing so since November. If you try to call them, you just get the same message on the phone over and over again, trying to contact them is ridiculous. For $1500, I would spend it somewhere else.
Good support. Had a few issues with the bike, but every time support has been contacted replies are prompt and they do what they can to help solve the problem.
Responsive customer service. Great bike. For the price this electric bike is a joy to ride. And I've decided to give this a high review because of the support and I'm not sure what others have dealt with but the support has been stellar and I've had to have a couple of parts sent to me because the bike fell and it was an error on my part however the parts were sent to me and they do come from far away so they took about a week however they did send the bicycle parts and customer service answered every question that I had and we went back and forth with at least 10 to 12 emails so I was thankful that they were receptive and able to help me with the replacement parts and one part was free and the other was only $17! I'm grateful. To buy performance is great and I have not had any issues at all. Looks great and rides great.
Nice solid built e-bike. I have owned this bike for about 20 months and put on approximately 1000 miles. I really like the bike as it is very well constructed and has been working flawlessly. Recently the LCD display screen would not turn on as it normally did. I contacted Multijoy through product support on their website via email and fully describe my problem. They promptly answered and requested I send a snapshot of my receipt and a video of attempting to turn on the LCD display screen as per theirs instructions which I did. They evaluated my problem with their technical department and stated that they would send me a new LCD display screen and 3 button switch free of charge due to the bike having a two year warranty on the these components. Their product support service has been excellent to this point. Thank you to company representative Sally for her prompt response.
Great product with great customer service. Wonderful bike. Great construction and the customer service is outstanding. I would buy from this company with confidence.

Awesome bike!!! Stop looking and get one. TT – Ebike Dual Motor 3000w Bicycle with Fat TiresI recently purchased the TT – Ebike dual motor 3000w bicycle with fat tires, and I must say, I'm thoroughly impressed. This bike is an absolute powerhouse, delivering an exhilarating ride both on and off-road.The dual motor system provides an impressive 3000w of power, giving you the torque and speed needed to conquer even the toughest terrain with ease. Whether you're cruising through city streets or tackling rugged trails, this bike handles it all with finesse. One of the standout features of the TT – Ebike is its fat tires. These oversized tires offer unmatched stability and traction, allowing you to tackle off-road terrain with confidence. Plus, they provide a smooth ride even over bumps and obstacles, ensuring maximum comfort for the rider. But what truly sets this bike apart is its versatility. As mentioned in the product description, the TT – Ebike is perfect for off-road video and film productions. With its powerful dual motors and rugged construction, this bike serves as the ultimate camera vehicle, allowing filmmakers to capture stunning footage in even the most challenging environments. In my experience, the TT – Ebike performed flawlessly as a camera vehicle. Its powerful motors effortlessly carried the weight of camera equipment, while its agile handling made it easy to navigate through rough terrain. Whether we were filming action sequences or scenic shots, this bike was the key to a successful film shoot.Overall, I highly recommend the TT – Ebike dual motor 3000w bicycle with fat tires to anyone in need of a powerful and versatile off-road bike. Whether you're a thrill-seeker looking for an adrenaline-pumping ride or a filmmaker in search of the perfect camera vehicle, this bike delivers on all fronts.
Overall Very happy with the bike. Pros :-Big bike, great for taller bigger people! as I am 6'3 and 275pounds this bike fits be perfectly!-Battery life has been great for me so far, first trip was roughly 25miles total and battery life was easily still 80%+ ( using pedal assist but plenty of throttle off and on)- Bike Easily hits 20-25mph (for me) and fastest I have pushed it was 31mph (easily) so if your a lighter person I'm sure it'll go even faster.- Love the fatty style 4" tires, amazing for trails / gravel / and honestly no issues or complains on the road! easy to handle and very smooth ride.- Phone mount w/ charging is awesome! holds phone so wellCons -- Bike Fenders seem kinda cheap, they do the job but installing them and overall quality of these, was disappointed but they work.- the bike rack is very nice but was a pain to install, holes did not line up well, the way the rack installs it is very close to the bike seat itself, I now own a bag for the rack but I have to install is back further then I would want cause of this, that being said overall the rack is still awesome! and comes with the bike.- Headlight installment, screws were disappointing and did not tighten the light well, needed to get a bold lock glue and has a washer to ensure light no longer came loose.Overall - 9/10I do love this bike and have enjoyed it very much! very happy overall. If the bike came with better bolts/ screws and the fenders were built with better quality I would give this bike a 10 for sure! But being the size it is with the 4" big wheels and able to fold! love it.
Game Changer. This bike is soooo cool!! There are many features worth mentioning:1. First off, it showed up on time and in good condition. Easy enough to assemble, took about an hour.2. The folding option was critical for us because of lack of space in the garage, and it folds so easily. The bike really is quite heavy (60-70 lbs), so hanging it on the wall was just not an option.3. The ride is smooth and easy to control. The fat tires help with that. The Pedal assist is easy to work and kicks in quite smoothly. With the 5 levels of assist, choose your difficulty. We really haven't used the full throttle much, but it is nice for a quick burst if you need it.4. Battery life will tell with time, but so far this has been no problem at all. The charging is quick for that size of battery and has lasted very well in the 5ish times we've used it so far. Longest trip was 14 miles while hauling 2 kids in a chariot attached to the back axle, and the battery barely went down at all.5. The folding pedals are great for storage as well. The headlight and horn make it feel more like a moped than a mountain bike sometimes, but that's okay. The only things I would make note of that are not ideal are:1. The seat post which isn't standard size, which makes certain attachments more difficult.2. The weight is due to the battery, motor, and solid-construction frame, so I get it, but it is very heavy.3. The instructions for assembly were not great, but it was pretty obvious what was needed.4. The cross bar is a bit high to step over for someone that is 5'6", but fairly easy for someone over 6' tall.5. The brakes are not as responsive as I would like. Again, this bike is heavy and you can end up going pretty fast especially downhill, so braking is important for obvious reasons. I find myself squeezing pretty hard on both front and rear brakes at times when I need to stop quickly, which is not what I'm used to on my mountain bike that would stop on a dime and throw me over the handlebars if I did that.Overall, we are super impressed with this bike and very satisfied with our purchase! 5/5 Stars!

Great features and comfort. I just finished riding first 15 miles on my new Tesway bike and I am very impressed with its comfort and features so far. I did thorough reserch prior to purchasing this bike and I think it is one the best values for an investment of under $1,000. The riding position feels very natural for a person with my height of just over 6 feet. The 27.5" wheel size seems to be perfect for a rider who prefers to pedal most of the time, but needs some help uphill and on long rides. The tire size provides confort ride on variety of surfaces. The battery charge level didn't change after my first 15 miles, which gives me some confidence that I can go on much longer rides without worrying if I will be able to make it back. This bike also looks nicer than most of competition due to its sleek design and battery incorporated into the frame. One thing that makes me think about not giving it the top rating is false weight information advertised on Amazon. It shows 44 pounds, but the actual weight with the battery is 61 pounds. I was suspicious about this even before the purchase considering that this bike comes with metal fenders and back rack. I usually mount my bikes on my car's roof, but I will need to invest in a good trunk mounted rack now as this one is too heavy to be lifted that high. This is still a minor sacrifice considering all the features that my new Tesway offers. I will probably purchase a more comfortable seat as well.More details are likely to come after I ride several hundred miles on different trail surfaces.
Tesway bike. Easy to assemble, rides nice. Can’t wait to ride it more

The Mars 1.0 is a great bike with plenty of power and lots of battery life. So far they are fantastic bikes. Long battery life. I weigh 200lbs and can consistently do 20mph. We got these for our camping trips. Paired it with a kids trailer and now we no longer have to take the truck to reach these campground playgrounds. (Which always seem to be miles from the campsites) Its a great option for those wanting an easy way to get around. Like almost every new bike out there the seat isn't great but that is easly replaceable. The batteries will lock into the bike when off and key removed. Also the batteries have usb charging ports for your devices.
Awesome. Bike is amazing. I have 6E bikes. This is probably the best quality. One of them all, not the fastest, but the battery lasts forever. I'm three hundred pounds. And it goes about twenty five
Love my Heybike Mars. I’m not gonna lie, I had issues with this bike when I first got it. The wiring was messed up and I kept getting an error message. I contacted Heybike and at first they weren’t much help and I was going to return it (not looking forward to trying to get it back into that box though believe me!) but then I messaged another way and got the second customer service rep he was a big help and got me going!I love this bike. I love the blue color I got. I love the fat tires. I love how far I can go on a charge. I love everything except how heavy it is! Whew boy did I have a time trying to lift the folded bike into the back of my vehicle when I camped last weekend! My back still hurts! But it replaced one of those little bitty folding e-bikes so I will have to build my muscle strength I guess! But for real, love the bike and glad I bit the bullet and bought it, though I’m a little confused why I had to pay shipping and handling and now it ships free! 🥴
Neat bike. It's a neat little bike. Very dependable. The biggest problem is there is nobody to take my difficulties to locally. If I were a bike shop I'd open a I'll tackle your ebike problems as a hobby in my spare time in aisle 3.The first week I encountered the dreaded Error 30 but discovered the taillight wire had gotten caught in my trailer attachment. When I secured it everything has worked good enough since. I can't get the total mileage to show on the readout since the error code.I've had it now for about 3 months. Daily use. 10 miles max. The small motor small battery combo function right. Engineered to do the best job.The small motor is great! I pull my German Shepherd, me, groceries, and haven't encountered any problems on the usual inclines. The initial start up from a dead stop is very lacking but it's okay.I'd read some reviews of riders losing their brakes on this particular bike so when that happened to me I was disappointed. Nobody in town will work on Amazon bikes. The brakes began driving me nuts about a month ago. I tightened them a couple times, not great but if I went slow... and then BAM no brakes at all no matter what!I did some research and discovered there's a very important bolt thingy to tighten on the inner side. Need a stubby to get to the rear one. But wow! They're so cool again!
Well worth $650. This seemed like has no problems to talk about it came days early it put together and everything worked perfectly I cannot believe it it's very good craftsmanship and I know good craftsmanship
Great bike. Love it works great easy to assemble nice smooth ride powerful and just the right speed the seat is very comfortable
A tank of a bike, best bike I've literally ever owned. Let me preference this by stating this is my first ebike and the fact that it's somewhat modular is a wonderful. So I've included a pic in my review of my kneecap, why? you are probably asking, well... me and the bike had a bit of a accident, a car related accident.... don't worry me and the bike are actually fine, infact I SUFFERED MORE DAMAGE THEN THE BIKE DID, though sadly the damage to the bike is a bit more permanent, I will get to that in a moment and is by no means a knock against the bike. The collision was low speed and completely equal blame on me and the other party, and partially bad building placement.I got on the bike to go do some shopping, I felt the breaks were a bit loose, said to myself I'll tighten them when I get back, and then because I wanted to hurry... went too fast for my own good. She was a elderly woman who was blowing through a parking lot exit with a massive blind spot created by a building and our fates collided... literally her car collided with my left peddle sending me bouncing as I tried... in vain to stop myself but I did manage to move my leg out of the way of the front bumper so that's a plus hurray! ... my right leg kneecap on the other hand did not however avoid the pavement...But this bike, this beast of a bike... only left this encounter with a bent crank arm (still slightly bent but bent back easily to a more usable position) and a busted lcd but still functioning (replaced), a small crack in the front fender, and a tiny cosmetic dent on the front suspension. The bolts did get a bit loose and I had to readjust the handlebar breaks and the gear shifter, which also got a bit scuffed. Luckily and more importantly INTENTIONALLY I carry every possible tool to field tighten and light repair in the extremely waterproof saddle bag.(Accidentally left one open with nothing in it and the flap had a decent puddle formed in it)It's made it to my work which is over a very steep bridge into another town like a champ and with more then enough juice after both ways to tow around my dogs in the pet carrier. But to answer if my dogs were with me when I got hit... nope just my stupid self.Yes the breaks do loosen over time but they tighten easy and if you feel them get loose on you, tighten them... don't be me, don't be that person who thinks going out for a quick errand means you should forgo BASIC MANTAINENCE AND SAFETY. but if you want a very reliable affordable means of eco-friendly cost efficient traveling, the mars will comfortably do so and more.Just... ride responsibly.
Great bike so far, could use better brakes. I got this bike for my kid’s on-campus commuting between classes. Later she moved it an apartment off campus and still used the bike to travel to school, or to stores for groceries. Only when she started working did it become apparent she needed a car, but we got a solid year out of the e-bike before that. She still uses it to go to class, and has put over 2500 miles on it. She had a couple accidents (hitting debris in the road a couple times) but we were able to easily repair it. Been very happy with the bike overall, but do wish it had better brakes.
My wife and I are in our 60's and we wanted and had been looking at e-bikes for quite a while. We saw these on Amazon.ca and we thought the price was about what we wanted to pay. So we bought two bikes. (one white for the wife and black for myself). We bought these and they came with color displays which washed out by the sunlight. Couldn't see a thing on them plus the printing on the screen was so small which could have required magnification. We contacted Heybike and within a few short days we had new black and white displays which we found much easer to read and easy to install. Good quality folding e-bike with many features. I get about 30Kph (25mph) speed in high gear with pedal assist but with a fully charged battery you could achieve this speed without pedaling. So far we have ridden about 25 kms and the battery is still on full but i will charge them up just the same before our next ride. I would recommend a Heybike. I'll update this review if they don't live up to expectation but so far so good. oh and pedaling on grass or dirt is as easy as peddling on pavement. Going up hill is also easy and if you have to stop for a road crossing the throttle is easy to get you going again. Sand or rain I'm likey not to try as I think each of these could kill them. I highly recommend a Heybike Mars or a Heybike of any model. Good quality.
First off we bought our bikes, this is an honest review not one written after receiving free or discounted products. Waited a couple weeks of use to review, we ride our Heybikes daily for a leisure ride. I chose the Mars for its more rugged look compared to the wife's Cityscape. We stick to paved trails and some dirt trails in a local national park. I have only charged the battery once after 40 miles logged, I still had two bars on the battery life showing. Pedal assist works great, you can ride forever it seems without working up a sweat. I have changed from the factory three levels to five in 25 % increments 0-5; seems to work good. My wife was not a bike rider , now with these, she wants to go out and ride 1-2times a day.The bike easily does 20+ mph and feels very secure for being a folding bike which surprised me. I wanted to try the folding feature, so yesterday in my 5ft short bed Colorado I did and it was easy to fold, lift into the bed and remove and unfold again. Riding the Mars is very comfortable, I only inflated to 10 -12 psi in the fat tires and all seems great, no big bumps when going over the road curbs and speed bumps.Seat is cushioned and works well with the added springs, but perhaps a larger seat is a future purchase ? Added items include a rearview side mirror, moving the brake and display to accommodate was not an issue, plenty of cable movement available. Picking a rear storage bag is going to be tough as the rack is a little wider than average, around 7" be mindful of that. Why the older version of the Mars, it was cheaper than the Mars 2.0, we are not rich and it was a still a brand new bike with full warranty. It is better, I do not know ? The Mars meets all my needs and probably can do things I may never test it for, all I know is this is a great bike for the $1 K it cost me. I was using my dad's $ 2.5 K ebike before deciding on which one I wanted, his may be a little faster but they like alike and have the same features. My Diamondback Motown traditional mountain bike will be collecting dust now. If all you want is a quality bike to leisurely ride around this is your bike, it may be capable of even do so much more that I have not tried yet. One month since purchase we use bikes 2X / day; hope this helps others on the fence about this or other "Heybike" bikes.
This is a very solid e-bike, and lots of good performance for a great price! The control panel is not bad, but not obvious. The manual is not very helpful, since it doesn't match the actual control panel! I had to dig through a few YouTube videos to find accurate information (and some is just wrong... support responded to me and asked me to do all sorts of work, posting all over the place to give them information to correct their own manual). I still have no idea how to clear the trip odometer. The common controls, though, are up and down pedal assist levels, and that's easy!I suggest you reprogram the pedal assist level 0-3 to 0-5 (I set mine to 0%, 25%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%). 2 is great around pedestrians, 4 is great on the road, and 5 when you really want to GET THERE FAST. I live where there are a ton of hills, and this handles all of them no problem. The motor does the job fine! This bike is built for medium or tall people, it looks small but it can handle riders from about 5'5" to over 6" easily.Brakes are fine, they're disc brakes but cable brakes instead of hydraulic which is I suppose expected for this price range. There's a *super solid* rack on it but the frame does not have many spots to attach locks, bags, water bottles, etc. You'll want a rack bag or pannier or something.Putting it together takes a little while (1h or a bit more), despite what some reviews claim... be prepared to do some work, and take your time, you only have to do it once. Note it's also quite heavy, you won't be hauling it up and down stairs.Don't let my complaints lessen the fact that this is an incredible bike. It's great!! Easy to ride, super comfortable, and good power. Incredible value.
The HeyBike Mars was SUPER easy to setup and was ready to ride right away! The HeyBike support team has been very responsive to my general inquiries, and my only complaint so far was the quality of the promotional lock that I got for free as part of the purchase. It will be replaced by another promotional item as soon as their warehouse is replenished, because they’re lock was a piece of junk. Nowhere near the quality you want to have when it comes to securing such a wonderful e-bike!!!
